Summer Music Camps

Moore Music Company is proud to sponsor summer music programs for students grades 3-12 from Guilford County and surrounding areas.

Reboot Band & Orchestra Camps

String, woodwind, or brass players with at least one year of experience in band or orchestra will receive intensive instruction in both large ensembles and sectionals. Students will have the opportunity to revisit important listening and playing skills, as well as form new friendships! This two-week camp is primarily for grades 7-8.

Rock Band

Students who play guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum set (or maybe viola or trombone, if they have an adventurous attitude!) are invited to rock out with us this summer! Students will be introduced to classic rock songs and will have the opportunity to improvise, play by ear, and read chord charts. This two-week camp is primarily for students grades 7-12.

Jump Ahead Band & Orchestra Camps

Students joining their school band or orchestra program for the first time are invited to get a head start on their instrument before the school year! This beginner-friendly camp will introduce students to the FUN-damentals and basic techniques of their instrument. This one-week camp is primarily for grades 5-6.

Nuvo Pre-Band Camp

NOTICE: NUVO Camp has been cancelled for 2025. We're sorry for the inconvenience! Rising 3rd through 5th graders are invited to join us for this brand new pre-band camp experience! Specially designed Nuvo instruments (included with the cost of registration) will help students to get excited about and develop a love for music.

Moore Music Company is pleased to offer a large selection of music camps in partnership with Guilford County Schools' Summer Arts Institute. Tuition waivers valued at $150 are available for students leasing an instrument through Moore Music Company (limitations apply).

WHO CAN ATTEND:

Our camps include options for students grades 3-12. These camps are NOT limited to students of Guilford County Schools; students from surrounding counties, or from private/charter schools are welcome to participate!

TUITION INFORMATION:

Reboot Band Camp: $300 ($150 for students who qualify for a tuition waiver)
Reboot Orchestra Camp: $300 ($150 for students who qualify for a tuition waiver)
Rock Band Camp: $300 ($150 for students who qualify for a tuition waiver)
Jump Ahead Band Camp: $150 (FREE for students who qualify for a tuition waiver)
Jump Ahead Orchestra Camp: $150 (FREE for students who qualify for a tuition waiver)
Nuvo Pre-Band Camp: $75 (Does not qualify for tuition waiver)

A $25 nonrefundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is not applied toward tuition costs.

Camp tuition is due one week prior to the start date of camp, payable to Moore Music Company (615 W. Market St. Greensboro, NC 27401). Customers leasing an instrument with us or who have recently purchased an instrument will receive email confirmation of their tuition waiver status.

TUITION WAIVERS:

We offer $150 tuition waivers for customers leasing an instrument through Moore Music Company! Both new and existing instrument leases qualify for a tuition waiver to any one camp. The return of a leased instrument prior to the end of the 2024-25 school year may result in an early cancellation fee. Account must be current and up to date to qualify. Student leasing the instrument must be the student signing up for camp.

We will also cover up to $150 of camp tuition to any one camp for customers who have purchased an instrument or paid off a leased instrument within the last year (one year from the start date of camp).

TRANSPORTATION:

Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging transportation for their students.

MEALS:

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for students at no cost.
