We partner with several community organizations to provide private lessons to students who may not otherwise have access due to lack of transportation or funding. Read the description under each organization to find out if your student may be eligible to receive funding for lessons.

Gant School of Music and Jazz
We are thrilled to partner with the Gant School of Music and Jazz to offer financial assistance for students seeking private lessons. Students may apply to receive up to a full sponsorship if funding allows. Funds will be determined and dispersed on a quarterly basis (every three months).
Student must be between 6th and 12th grade.
Student must be from a low-income household and/or be part of the Free or Reduced Lunch Program at their school.

Applicants are required to submit a 250 word essay stating the impact music has made on their life and their future goals in music.

Moore Music Company is proud to offer lessons from our highly qualified instructors through the Lyceum Program, in partnership with Guilford County Schools. Students from participating schools can apply for group or private lessons in dance, music, theater, spoken word, and visual art. Lyceum students receive twelve lessons each semester (Fall/Spring).
Students from the following schools are eligible to apply: Allen Jay Preparatory Academy (music only), Brown Summit MS, Grimsley HS, Kiser MS, Mendenhall MS, Northwest MS, Page HS, Southern HS, Swann MS, Western HS.
Students who are a part of the GCS Free or Reduced Lunch Program are eligible for a full scholarship.
Students are not a part of the GCS Free or Reduced Lunch Program but are in need of financial assistance may apply for a 50% tuition scholarship.
How to Apply:
Register for Lyceum lessons online by clicking the button below.
Students who are a part of the Free or Reduced Lunch Program should mark "YES" under the appropriate category on the registration form. They will receive an email requesting further information in order to confirm their scholarship.
Students who are not a part of the Free or Reduced Lunch Program should complete the registration form, then email Maria-Elena Surprenant at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a scholarship application form.
